Rehearsals
We rehearse on a Saturday once a month, and Tuesday evenings twice a month in Wickham, at Igloo Studios. Free parking and refreshments are available. There are no auditions and no previous experience is required.

Joining The Igloo Choir
We are thrilled to be taking bookings for events throughout the year and always welcome new members. You will be assigned a ‘buddy’ from your section to keep you company and help you settle in although everyone is friendly and eager to help new members adjust.
We have different vocal sections to suit all voice types. So if you are a lady with a low voice or a very high voice, we can find a part for you! Men are also very welcome.
Our unique choir writes our own songs. If you join, you can get involved with, and learn about, the creative process as much or as little as you want to. If you are not interested in learning to write songs, you are free to simply focus on singing the songs when they’re done.
No previous experience is necessary at all. You need bring nothing more than your life experience, and willingness to join in. When you are new, you will be supported by other singers in your section, and invited to additional rehearsals as needed.

Creating songs and singing in a group can be one of the most satisfying musical experiences. You will be taught everything you need to know as we go along, and be welcomed into a fun and friendly group.
We perform at as many local events, festivals and special locations as we can throughout the year, and particularly enjoy supporting our local children’s hospice, Naomi House, at their fundraising events.
